A little bit of info about Bucharest, and its two airports (Courtesy of Creative Commons Licence):Henri Coandă International Airport (One of two, this is the largest and busiest airport in Romania) Henri Coandă Intl is located north of the Bucharest metropolitan area, in the town of Otopeni, Ilfov. It is still largely known as the Otopeni Airport (Aeroportul Internaţional Bucureşti Otopeni). In May 2004 it was renamed in honour of Romanian flight pioneer professor Henri Coandă, the builder of the world's first jet powered aircraft. Tickets are available from Sky Services personnel in the arrivals terminal. Bansea Airport Bucharest "Aurel Vlaicu" Airport (IATA: BBU, ICAO: LRBS) (largely known as Băneasa Airport or Bucharest City Airport) is located in Băneasa district, Bucharest, Romania. It was Bucharest's only airport until 1968, when the Otopeni Airport was built. The decision of building a new airport was taken because of the proximity of the Băneasa airport to the city centre which generated pollution and noise. The airport is situated only 8 km north of the Bucharest city centre and is accessible by RATB buses 131, 335 and Airport Express 783, RATB tramway 5 and taxi. An extension of Line M4 of the Bucharest Metro to Aurel Vlaicu International, which will link it to the Main Train Station and the larger Henri Coandă International Airport, was approved in June 2006 and is currently in its planning stage.
